Every community has its own traditional story. If there are differences in traditional stories for each local, the culture of the community cannot be equated. Folk story titled Banterang Surat I is a traditional folk tale from Banyuwangi, East Java. The interesting thing in this folklore is to show how the social structure of the Banyuwangi community can be seen as how harmony among religious people, respecting the enemy, and heroism.
