There are several folklore stories with the theme of ungodliness towards the parents in North Sumatra like Si Mardan folklore in Tanjung Balai, Sikantan from Labuhan Bilik, and Sampuraga in Madina. These three stories are folktales that are trusted by local people as historical evidence in the past. The Sicike-Cike area, Dairi District also has stories of children who are rebellious towards their mothers. This story is titled Bohong Merinang. This story reveals a child who is rebellious to his mother. This story contains a lot of moral values and respect for parents. This is intended so that readers or people are not allowed to become rebellious to their parent. Rebelliousness to our parents ill be disastrous because of the curses of parents. rnThis folk tale writing activity is expected to continue to be carried out so that people have reading resources that contain both didactic and cultural elements.
